Sudan denounced the terrorist attack on the convoy of Egypt's Prosecutor General Hesham Barakat Monday morning.

Counselor Barakat died of wounds he sustained in the attack which left several others injured.

The Sudanese Foreign Ministry, in a statement released Monday evening, expressed deep sorrow over the heinous crime and strongly denounced the terrorist attack.

The Foreign Ministry voiced condolences and solidarity with Egypt.
