East Darfur state has praised the agreement reached between rivals in South Sudan, believing it will help boost security in border areas with Sudan.
East Darfur shares a long border line with South Sudan, said its acting governor Mohamed al Hassan Bayrak on Saturday.
It is therefore affected by tensions inside the nascent country, Bayrak said.
The peace agreement, which was signed by the South Sudanese rivals, will sure have a positive impact on border areas in East Darfur, he noted.
