Sudan's West Kurdufan state on Monday sent security and military reinforcements to oil fields and borderline areas with South Sudan.
The state authorities did not disclose the size of the fresh reinforcements.
In statements, West Kurdufan new Governor Abu Al Qasim Imam Baraka said a security plan was developed to secure oil production zones, solve tribal conflicts and deploy security forces to secure the border with South Sudan as a basis for stability and development.
The state's local government will do its best to achieve security and development and secure border areas with S. South that suffers from internal conflicts, he added.
