Vice - President of the Republic, Hassabo Mohamed Abdul-Rahman, is due to begin Friday a two-day to Gezira State.
In a statement to SUNA, the Wali (governor) of Gezira State, Dr. Mohamed Yousif, said that the Vice - President's visit aims to inspect progress of the summer harvest season, cultivation of winter crops at Gezira Scheme and Rahad Agricultural Corporation, besides launching work at the Land Port and the new Medani city, asphalting a number of internal roads in Medani and the delivery of the emergency water project equipments for Medani.
The Wali said that the Vice - President will hold a meeting with the political leaders of Gezira State and will be given a briefing about implementation of Gezira State Renaissance Project.
He said that the visit of the Vice President will be concluded by inspecting the Artificial Vaccination Center and addressing a mass rally in Managel city.
