The Suez-Cairo natural gas pipeline exploded Wednesday by mistake during renovating and paving the Cairo-Suez road.

Suez Security Chief Tareq Gazzar said two passers-by were hurt and two cars that were accidentally there caught fire.

There is no terror scheme behind the blast, he said.

The fire was contained and work on the road will be resumed, he said.
