A state of high alert was announced Thursday in Suez ahead of the Arab League (AL) Summit, which will be held in Sharm el Sheikh city on March 28-29.
Suez Security Director Tareq el Gazzar said security forces have been heavily deployed at the southern entrance of the Suez Canal and Ahmed Helmy Tunnel, which links the city with Sinai.
