Sunday, June 29, 2014 will be the opening day of the month of Ramadan 1435 of Hegira, Mufti of the Republic Hamda Saied announced on Friday night in a TV statement.
The lunar crescent announcing the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan was not sighted on Friday after sunset. Therefore, Saturday, June 28 will be the closing day of Chaabane 1435 of Hegira.
