Supply police have conducted intensified campaigns over the past two days with the aim to control the markets ahead of Christmas celebrations.
Thirty tons of expired and rotten foodstuffs have been seized as part of the campaign.
Ten tons of rice, eight tons of olive, three tons of margarine, four tons of fish and two tons of flour are some of the seized products, said Supply Minister Khaled Hanafy in a release statement Saturday.
