Aswan police on Sunday managed to defuse a suspected bomb near a police officer's lounge in the Upper Egyptian city.
Upon a tip-off, sappers rushed to the scene, defusing the bomb and combing the area.
Intensive efforts are underway to identify and arrest the culprits.
