A symposium was held on Sunday at the Arab League (AL) headquarters for heads of the Arab Armed Forces' training authorities.
The event will discuss a mechanism to establish an Arab peacekeeping force.
AL Chief Nabil el-Arabi said the Joint Arab defense agreement is necessary to protect the Arab states.
The five-day event aims at promoting cooperation among Arab countries in the military field.
