Arab League Secretary General Nabil el-Arabi said on Sunday that a new envoy to Syria has not yet been named.
"There are a lot of names including AL former chief Amr Moussa," he said, adding that it is more important now to settle on the nature of the mission rather than the name.
On the elections underway in Syria, Arabi criticized what is happening saying it is a flagrant violation to Syria's commitments to the UN resolution.
Under the UN resolution, Syria should carry out its obligations of Geneva 2012, he said.
