The Syrian army killed on Sunday 30 Daesh militants and destroyed a rocket warehouse in al Qaryatayn town in Syria, a military source said.

The Syrian troops destroyed also seven military vehicles in the security campaign, the Syrian news agency reported.

Daesh militants have sneaked into the town on Wednesday, expelling hundreds of residents and kidnapping over 230 of them.

Daesh is a militant group predominantly active in Syria and Iraq, having taken over large territories in both countries. Militants in Libya, Egypt and Nigeria, among other countries, have pledged allegiance to the group.
