The Syrian army launched on Friday a heavy artillery shelling attack on Ein al-Fijeh village in an apparent violation of a truce signed in late November.
The artillery barrage violates a truce signed on November 25, which stipulated the end of a nearly week-long regime assault on Wadi Barada in return for re-opening water lines into Damascus and its suburbs that the opposition fighters had temporarily cut off.
