The Syrian army seized back control of a strategic village in Lattakia countryside in Western Syria. The army units regained control of Al-Samra village in Northern parts of Lattakia on Sunday. The Syrian armed forces also came in control over the police station of al-Samra village after tough battles against the militants. Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian army units continued their advances in Meliha town in Damascus countryside. The army units killed a number of notorious militants from the terrorist groups Filaq Al-Rahman, Al-Etehad Al-Eslami, Al-Ajnad Al-Sham, Islamic Front and Al-Nusra Front. Also, the Syrian army targeted the gathering centers of the militants in Lattakia countryside. The army units destroyed the concentration centers in Dabaseh and Al-Qasatel in Lattakia countryside. The army destroyed an important missile and explosive devices depot during their operations in Lattakia. Elsewhere, the Syrian army continued its advances in Aleppo in Northern parts of the country. The army units regained control of the Al-Matahen district in Aleppo city on Sunday. Meantime, the army units also destroyed the concentration centers of terrorist groups in Douma in Damascus countryside. Elsewhere, a unit of the Syrian armed forces seized control over the site of the police station of al-Samra village in the Northern countryside of Lattakia on Sunday morning, a military source announced. The source told the state news agency that the army members hoisted the Syrian national flag over the police station. Also, opposition fighters in the Syrian border town of Zabadani surrendered after intense fighting with army troops, losing their last stronghold along Lebanon's border. The Syrian army was now in near total control of the Qalamoun region, West of Damascus. Dozens of opposition fighters reportedly handed themselves over to the Syrian authorities.
