Damascus- MENA
Chairman of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces Hadi al Bahra has denied news of any official initiatives to solve the Syrian Crisis.
Not in the time being at least, Bahra said at a press conference at the Arab League HQ Saturday.
There are no official calls by any parties to hold a conference to discuss any solution to the Syrian problem, Bahra said.
Asked about a Russian proposal, Bahra said "there aren't any such initiatives as rumored and Russia is not offering a clear one."
It is only a call for a meeting in Moscow and there is no definite initiative or paper, Bahra said.
Bahra, who had just emerged from a meeting with AL Secretary General Nabil el Araby, said he exchanged views with Araby about the situation in Syria.
The Syrian opposition are holding talks among them, Bahra said, adding "we asked the Arab League to sponsor such activities."
"We had already submitted an integrated plan to achieve peace during the Geneva conference."
The Syrian opposition intends to endorse one document at any future peace talks, Bahra told reporters.
"We are looking forward to an effective AL role in this regard, and we urge world countries to live up to their responsibilities toward the Syrian people."
Asked if the coalition will attend a conference the Syrian opposition intends to hold in Cairo, Bahra said no official invitations have been sent either by Cairo or Moscow or any other party.
There is only dialogue among the Syrian opposition, he stressed.
