A narcotics smuggler, the so-called Safwan Hassan Hindawi of Syrian nationality, has been executed in Al-Jawf region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who had smuggled a large quantity of narcotics into the Kingdom.
The Saudi Interior Ministry issued a statement quoted by the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) in which said that the criminal had been interrogated regarding the charges ascribed to him and duly referred to the General Court which issued its verdict in favour of meting out capital punishment onto him in compliance with the provisions of Islamic Sharia law.
