The Syrian Southern Front in Daraa formed on Friday a new military alliance.
The newly-formed First Army comprises 10,000 fighters and seeks to topple President Bashar Al Assad, the Southern Front said in statement.
It added that the new alliance will be made up of three opposition groups.
Col. Saber Safar was chosen to be commander of the First Army.
