Intense shelling from the Syrian side of the borders reached several eastern Lebanese towns along the Great River on Sunday evening injuring three people.
One of the shells hit a home in Bani Sakhr town in Wadi Khaled area, east Lebanon, injuring a woman and her two daughters, Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) reported.
Another shell hit a car on the Menjez-Abboudieh Highway, setting it on fire; no reports were available on whether any passengers were inside the vehicle.
A truck driver sustained a bullet injury in firing from the Syrian side of the borders which reached Akkar district, north Lebanon, yesterday.
