The intense battles raging in Aleppo, which have seen a key hospital destroyed with significant loss of life, are putting millions at grave risk, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has warned.

The intensification of violence puts millions of people, many of whom are displaced, at grave risk, the ICRC said in a statement carried by Sky News.

Aleppo is Syria's second largest city and has been among the worst affected in the last five years of conflict.
