Al Azhar's curricula are based on pluralism that respect all opinions, said Al Azhar Grand Imam Dr Ahmed el Tayyeb. 

During a meeting with a Russian delegation under president of the Russian Islamic University in Kazan Rafik Mukhametshin, Tayyeb welcomed the Russian delegation, affirming that Al Azhar is the only qualified institution that is capable of graduating scholars who can disseminate the upright teachings in Islam and correct the image of Islam. 

Tayyeb also approved increasing the number of scholarships offered from Al Azhar to Russian students.
