Egyptians queue to board

Egyptian Ministry of Health has sent a medical team to Salloum border crossing with Libya to receive stranded Egyptians who wish to return home from this country.
The Egyptian government, meanwhile, continues its intensive contacts to identify circumstances behind the kidnapping of Egyptians in Libya.
The decision to dispatch the medical team to the border checkpoint was based on Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi's directions to all ministries and others concerned to quickly implement an emergency plan to evacuate Egyptians working in Libya, seeking to come back, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab explained that President Al-Sisi has ordered formation of a special team to follow up on the situation of those kidnapped with all parties inside Libya.
He stressed during a news conference, late on Friday, after meeting with families of the hostages, that there is no single proof the Egyptians who have been held in Libya belonged to Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant group (ISIL).
