The government is not solely responsible of the development of the border areas but the responsibility lies also with all state institutions, NGOs and businessmen, said Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa.

In statements Sunday, the minister said that all the ministries and institutions and the institutions operating in the social services sphere and the businessmen should attach great importance to all state borders.

All the state borders should be transformed into attractive areas, said Gomaa, hailing the state's efforts to develop Sinai, Matrouh, New Ismailia, New Valley and the desert hinterland areas in general.
