Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou lauded the role played by the security apparatuses in thwarting the attack against a hotel here on Friday.
The apparatuses managed to kill one terrorist and wound and arrest the other, the minister noted.
These remarks came during Zaazou's visit to Hurghada city to inquire after the health of the injured tourists.
He was accompanied by Red Sea Governor Ahmed Abdullah and the governorate's security chief Adel Tonsy.
They discussed some issues related to the tourism sector and securing the tourist facilities.
The minister underscored that the safety of the tourists is atop of the government's priorities.
Traffic flow in the city is normal, while security measures were beefed up.
