Cairo Criminal Court on Saturday decided to adjourn to May 18 the trial of 16 defendants of the Muslim Brotherhood group and Ultras White Knights fans over their involvement in committing violence and sabotage acts in the Air Defense Stadium.

At least 22 football fans were killed after police attempted to disperse fans whilst entering the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo. The fans entered the stadium to watch the game between Zamalek and ENPPI teams.

The defense teams asked the court to adjourn the trial to be able to review the documents of the case.
