Cairo Criminal Court has adjourned until January 10 the trial of political activist Alaa Abdel Fattah and 24 other defendants held in connection with riot incidents that followed a protest outside the Shura Council in November last year.
The defendants face charges of blocking the road and attacking police troops, as well as organizing a protest without a permit.
The court delayed the trial Saturday to hear the pleading of the defense team representing the defendants.
