A Giza criminal court adjourned on Saturday the trial of 42 members of terrorist group of Agnad Misr till October 17.

They are accused of committing terrorist acts including planting explosive charges to target police and army personnel, security checkpoints, police stations, and vital public institutions, killing many police officers and residents.

They are also charged with attempted murder of more than 100 police personnel, officers, and residents, and sabotaging public and police facilities.

Islamist militants have increased attacks against security forces since the army deposed president Mohamed Morsi of Muslim (MB) Brotherhood after mass protests against his arbitrary rule.

In December 2013, Egypt's government declared the Muslim Brotherhood a 'terrorist organization', blaming it for a string of attacks in the country and banning all its activities nationwide, including their regular protests.
