Cairo Criminal Court has adjourned until October 10th the the trial of ousted president Mohamed Morsi on espionage charges.
Morsi and his co-defendant are accused of leaking classified information to the Qatari intelligence agency and the Doha-based Aljazeera news channel about national security and the Armed Forces with the aim of harming Egypt's army and national interests.
The court delayed the trial Saturday to continue to hear the account of the prosecution witnesses.
Among the defendants are the former head of Morsi's office, Ahmed Abdel Aatti, and secretary Ameen el Serafi, along with figures from Aljazeera news network.
The classified documents included information on military positions and armament, as well as additional information on the country's policies.
