A tribal chieftain was killed in northern Baghdad after a sticky bomb attached to his car went off Saturday, a security source said.
The chieftain's brother suffered injuries because of the explosion.
Security forces cordoned off the scene of the incident and launched investigations to identify culprits.
Meantime, eight Daesh fighters were killed in a security operation, supported by air coverage, a military source said in a statement.
Security forces detonated car bomb, which was aimed at targeting troops in northern Baghdad.
Daesh militants abducted 50 people, including police and army elements along with civil servants, northern Tikrit in Salahddine Governorate.
