A man was shot in the leg while trying to rob an armored bank truck in Tahta city of Sohag governorate on Tuesday.
The man identified as El-Tony Shawki, 35, passed the truck with his tuk-tuk, a three-wheeled vehicle, and attempted to bring it to a halt.
The suspect attacked a policeman with a knife and injured him in the hand, the officer responded by shooting him in the leg.
