Tunisia has denied media reports of a plot to assassinate Libyan Interior Minister of the Tobruk-based government Mustafa al Dabashi.

"These reports are false and groundless," the Tunisian Interior Ministry said in a statement.

Earlier, media outlets reported that Tunisian security forces foiled an attempt to assassinate the Libyan minister in his residence in the capital, Tunis.
