Turnout in the Tunisian presidential runoff hit 59.04%, said the country's independent election commission said.
The commission said that 27.14 percent of Tunisian expatriates had already cast their votes in the elections outside Tunisia.
Incumbent Interim President Moncef Marzouki and the head of Nidaa Tounes movement Beji Caid Essebsi are vying for the top post in it.
Nearly 5.3 million Tunisian voters were eligible to cast ballot in Sunday's vote, which is billed as the final round of the country's first democratic presidential vote.
