Tunisian National Army forces were deployed on Saturday to protect public institutions in Dhehiba city of Tataouine governorate, Tunis Africa Press reported.
The move was taken after the withdrawal of National Guard units in the wake of violent clashes with protesters who torched the National Guard station.
Injuries were reported from both sides, the agency said, with no mention of the reason behind clashes.
