The Tunisian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday denied press reports about opening channels of talks with Tunisian Jihadists in Syria.

The Ministry, in a released statement, indicated that statements on this score that attributed to Foreign Minister Taieb Baccouche were groundless and bare of truth.

He only said that some Jihadists who are staying in Syria had called the Tunisian Consulate in Istanbul and expressed their desire to return home. The issue has not yet been settled, according to the statement.
