A hotel in the tourist Tunisian city of Sousse came under attack earlier Friday.

A shootout is currently taking place following the terrorist attack on Hotel Riu Imperial Marhaba, the Tunisian media said quoting eyewitnesses.

The attack reportedly left scores of people dead and injured.

A source with the Interior Ministry said a statement will be issued shortly about the attack.
