The security and defense committee of the Tunisian House of Representatives decided on Tuesday to summon defense minister Farahat al-Harshani to brief the committee members on the threat the country is facing especially the recent attack on a military barracks.

The committee head Lotfi al-Nabli said in press statements on Tuesday the meeting will also deal with the meeting of the Tunisian-American joint military committee in Washington today and tomorrow.

Tunisian Defense Ministry spokesman Belhassen Oueslati told a news conference in Tunis on Monday that seven soldiers were killed, 10 others were wounded in the barracks when a soldier attacked his colleagues.
