President Essebsi

Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi warned Friday terrorist groups, including Daesh in Libya, could use protests around Tunisia to sneak into the country.

In his address to the Tunisian people on National TV channel "Al-Watania I", Essebsi said that "malicious hands" have intervened after protests normally started in the wake of 5 years of unemployment.

He added that the government should come forward with a plan to end unemployment and achieve social demands.

"There is no dignity without jobs," the Tunisian president stressed.

He hailed security and military forces who done their duties without opening fire on protesters.

Essebsi pledged to apply the State of Emergency "leniently but fully."
