Crisis in Libya

Tunisia's Foreign Ministry on Wednesday asked its citizens in Libya to remain vigilant and stay away from areas of tension and clashes.

In a statement, the ministry warned its citizens against traveling to Libya and recommended that those who are currently in Libya to contact the Tunisian consulate in Tripoli in any case of emergency.

The ministry asserted more efforts are being exerted to release the Tunisian nationals held hostage in Libya.

Tunisian reports have said at least 60 Tunisians were captured by an armed group allied to the Libya Dawn rebels controlling Tripoli on Saturday.
