The armed forces of the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt will launch joint military exercises as part of the strong fraternal relations between the two countries, the foundation of which was laid by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and are currently being supported by President and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Recently, UAE Chief of Staff Lt. General Hamad Mohamed Thani Al Romaithi visited Egypt after a visit to the UAE by his Egyptian counterpart Lt. General Sidqi Subhi, who affirmed during his visit that the national security of the UAE and Egypt was inseparable. The joint military exercises will be conducted in the UAE and are aimed at strengthening cooperation and sharing knowledge and expertise in military fields. They will tackle a series of scenarios for tactical and operational preparedness.
