The United Arab Emirates said one of its warplanes taking part in a mission against Houthi rebels in Yemen is missing, according to the country's news agency WAM.

No further details were given on the disappearance of the fighter jet.

The UAE is part of the Saudi-led coalition that has been carrying out a military campaign codenamed "Operation Decisive Storm" in Yemen since March 2015 in support of President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi.
