The third session of UAE-Kuwaiti Higher Joint Committee for Cooperation, at the level of senior officials from the two GCC countries' foreign ministries, kicked off here on Sunday, with the participation of 30 Kuwaiti and UAE governmental and private bodies and institutions.
The Committee meeting is of high importance as it is aimed at enhancing cooperation between both sides in various fields, Kuwaiti Ambassador to the UAE, Salah Al-Buaijan, said in remarks to KUNA.
Participants in the two-day meeting will discuss a number of vital issues that serve the interests of both countries, and they will sign a number of memoranda of understanding, he said.
The diplomat applauded the efforts exerted by both countries for the sake of the meeting's success. In the final session, expected to witness the signing of the MoU, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah will head the Kuwaiti side, while the UAE delegation will be led by his UAE counterpart, Sheikh Abduallah Bin Zayed Al-Nhayan.
Al-Buaijan praised the bilateral relations between Kuwait and UAE under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and President of UAE Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nhayan.
