Unidentified gunmen raided the room of the Libyan foreign ministry undersecretary Hassan el Soghaiyar at Marhaba Hotel in al Bayda city and took him to an unknown destination.
A number of gunmen entered the hotel and informed the receptionist that they are police, a well-placed source at the hotel said on Sunday.
The source added that they took the Libyan official to an unknown destination.
