Unidentified men broke the main gas line feeding Belbeis, 10th of Ramadan City and Abu Hammad in Sharqiya on Thursday, bringing life to a standstill for several hours.
Sappers combed the area that was sealed off till the line is repaired.
The experts found a 30cm-long fracture in the pipeline, causing a gas leakage.
Sappers found no explosives being planted in the area.
