Spokesman for the US-led coalition fighting Daesh terrorists, Steve Warren, told Voice of America that preparations were underway to liberate Iraq's Mosul.

To this end, eight Iraqi brigades were being trained and equipped with needed military machinery, he added.

Also, air strikes targeting Daesh hideouts in the Iraqi city were intensified, according to Warren.
