Various of governorates are preparing to hold celebrations on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Suez Canal project slated for Thursday.
Fayyoum Governor Wael Makram said that a number of celebrations will be held in the governorates' main squares. He also described the new grand project as it will change the world map.
He also urged the governorate’s residents to attend the celebrations and concerts.
Qalubiya Governor Mohamed Abdel Zaher said a mural will be set at one of the main squares in the governorate that describes the new Suez Canal and its establishment process.
Damietta Governor Ismail Abdel Hamid said a number of celebrations will be held in the coastal governorate.
A number of other celebrations are expected to be held in Port Said and Kafr el Sheikh governorates on the occasion of the inauguration of the huge national project.
Egypt will inaugurate the New Suez Canal on August 6 in the presence of presidents, kings and high-level delegations from various countries.
The new canal will massively increase the capacity of the existing canal and offer an important opportunity to boost the country's economy.
