Manama - BNA
Voters turned out massively today to Bahrain embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions abroad to cast their ballots. President of the Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission and the elections Executive Director Advisor Abdullah bin Hassan Al Buainin said registered and non-registered voters abroad were allowed today to cast their ballots for their parliamentary candidates.
He pointed out that those who are participating in the elections abroad will have their names excluded from the voters lists in Bahrain.
The voters turned up in force today at Bahrain embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions, which are used as election centres, to cast their ballots. Voting continued from 9 am to 7 pm, local time, in 29 cities all over the world.
The results of the elections abroad will be combined with those in Bahrain next Saturday. In case of a run-off, the voters abroad will have to report to the election centres on November 25 to cast their ballots, Al-Buainin explained, thanking the voters for their participation to ensure success of the electoral process.
It is worthy to note that voters who registered to vote abroad but could not can cast their ballots in Bahrain on November 22.
