Vice President of the State Council Ahmed Saad el Din said that he took up his new post as the secretary general of the House of Representatives.

The move came after the approval of the State Council to assign him to take up this post for one year.

In statements to reporters following his meeting with Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mohamed el Agaty, Saad said that he will immediately proceed with his duties.

He also hailed efforts exerted by the former secretary general of the House of Representatives Khaled el Sadr.
