Wafd Party leader Sayed el-Badawi said that Egypt is witnessing a historical phase that is more difficult than the foreign occupation period. "The enemy right now is a part of the Egyptian people who has exercised all kinds of violence and terrorism in order to return back to power," Badawi said during a visit to the party’s branch in Sohag. He asserted that the toppling of the Muslim Brotherhood in July was not a coup.
