Minister of Social Solidarity and Head of the Drug Combat and Addiction Treatment Fund Ghada Wali will lead a medical committee that will carry out drug tests for school drivers inside schools as of Monday.
Assistant Interior Minister for Traffic Affairs General Mostafa Darwish, the assisant interior minister for drug combat and representatives of the education, health and population ministries will attend the committee works.
In statements on Sunday, Head of the Drug Combat Fund Amr Othman said samples will be taken from drivers unexpectedly and the results will be immediately announced.
The move aims at reducing the school buses accidents which are mainly caused by addicted drivers.
