Speaker of the US Congress Darrell Issa and Philippine President's envoy Gregory L. Domingo arrived here on Wednesday to take part in the inauguration of the new Suez Canal.
Also, Yemeni President's adviser Mohamed Ahmed Mansour, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyadh Maliki, Georgian president's envoy and Sierra Leone vice president arrived for the same occasion.
The expanded canal will be inaugurated on Thursday with the participation of a number of world leaders and delegations of 90 countries.
The 72-kilometer-long canal, that runs parrael to the existing canal, is expected to double Suez revenues from 5.3 billion dollars to 13.2 billion dollars.
