The formation of the national unity government in Libya including 32 ministers has won the praise of world leaders and international organizations.
Welcoming naming the new Libyan government, US State Department Spokesperson John Kirby deemed it a significant step forward on the path towards Libya's peace and stability.
He called on Libya's House of Representatives to "proceed without delay" in endorsing the fragile body.
For his part, Italy's Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni said that his country is ready to help the newly-announced Libyan unity government restore peace and security and stem the turmoil that has engulfed the North African country.
"We have before us a real opportunity to stabilize the country, which must be grasped by everyone. Italy is ready to do its share to support Libya," Gentiloni said.
Meanwhile, the European Union (EU) welcomed the announcement of the agreement on the ministerial posts in the Government of National Accord by the Presidency Council in Libya as "an important decision."
The new government also won the praise of Senior United Nations officials, including the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).
"This is a sterling opportunity for Libyans to come together to build their country,” Martin Kobler, head of UNSMIL added.
